MOLECULES OF PHARMACEUTICAL INTEREST

 

Mixture of drug product components (excipients) were studied by Raman mapping technique [1] in order to obtain the composition of a tablet.

​

Substituent effect of formyl and acetyl groups of indole derivatives on the vibrational spectra was calculated and compared with measured FTIR and Raman spectra [2]. Several antifungal substance (e.g. Voriconazole, Diflucan, Itraconazole or Isavuconazole) contain 1,2,4-triazole building blocks wich are synthetised with the use of 1,2,4-triazole sodium. The vibrational characteristics of this salt was desribed [4].

Additionally, the effect of methanol solvent on its on molecules were studied together with the resulted changes of vibrational spectra. The methanol solvent was approximated as a dielectric continuum characterized by its dielectric permittivity, ε [3].
